Hello All,

We are excited to get back in the gym!  We have spent the last few weeks putting the schedules together and researching best practices to make sure we are doing it in a responsible and safe manner.  The health and wellbeing of the players and coaches is our number one priority. Here are the details!

Practice: (Surprise Elementary - 12907 W Greenway Rd, El Mirage, AZ 85335)

Dates:

- June 16th, 18th, 23rd, 25th, 29th

- July 7th, 2nd, 9th

Time: (UPDATED)​

- 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm

Tournament:

Dates: July 11th - 14th

(Early information states that each team will be allowed 3 coaches and 10 chaperones.  The tournament will be closed to spectators.  Please keep in mind that if things change with the status of the virus, so could the status of the tournament.  We will keep everyone updated and adjust where necessary)

After review of the USA Volleyball, AAU Volleyball, and Dysart School District return to play guidelines as well as the CDC recommendations, we are requiring the following measures to be taken.

The Covid-19 waiver must be completed prior to any player participating in club activities.  Please review and sign electronically:  COVID-19 WAIVER

 

BEFORE YOU ENTER:

  • Everyone must perform a daily self-check for the signs and symptoms of COVID-19 & other illness BEFORE arriving at the gym. NO ONE will be allowed in the gym if they have any symptoms or have been in contact with a known infected individual.

  • Training gear should be on when entering the gym.  

  • Wash hands and arms (up to elbow) for 20 seconds before entering the gym and anytime you use the bathroom.

  • Participants may not enter the gym any more than 10 minutes before their scheduled practice.

  • All players and coaches entering the building will have to stop at our check-in table and have their temperature taken. 

IN THE GYM: 

  • All staff will be wearing face masks. *Athletes will not be required to wear face masks, but may do so if they choose.  We encourage athletes to wear face masks when there is down time.

  • Player must bring their own water bottles.  Fountains will not be available for use.  Please bring enough water to last for a 2 hour workout.

  • Bags will have a designated area and are to be spaced apart to maintain social distancing.

  • No outside balls, chairs, equipment, etc. 

  • Everyone must maintain the social distance of 6 feet as much as possible while in the facility.  We know it will be hard not to hug or high five when you enter, but unfortunately it will not be allowed.  

  • NO parents/spectators will be allowed in the gym.

AFTER WORKOUTS:

  • Players may not linger after practices are over, they must immediately exit the gym.

  • Wash hands or use Hand Sanitizer upon exiting the gym. Hand sanitizer with be provided, but we encourage the players to bring their own.

  • Volleyballs, carts and training equipment will be sanitized regularly.

  • The site will be cleaned and disinfected after every practice or event. 

 

We will continue to monitor the situation and take guidance from USA Volleyball, AAU Volleyball, and the CDC.  Items will be adjusted as necessary.  

I have had a few discussions about when the payments are due and how to make them.  With safety in mind, we request that all payments be made online.  You will be getting an email from Groundwork with your updated payment amount. If you use your banking information, it is free.  Please complete and approve the payment.  If that is not possible, please place payment (Cash or Check) in an envelope with the players name on it and have her bring it to the first workout.
